  • Driven towards a career in the music and/or entertainment industry
  • Passionate about electronic music (dance, house, dubstep, trap, trance, etc.)
  • Regularly searches for new music on Spotify, Apple Music, etc.
  • Has experience in journalism and/or other relevant writing experience
  • Well-versed in Internet culture and social media platforms
  • Manages time wisely and follows directions well
  • Well organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficient/familiar with Google Apps, Dropbox
  • A student or recent college grad.


  • Strong understanding of online video markets (YouTube, TikTok, IG TV)
  • PR or Communications background
  • Familiarity with music industry news and culture
  • Experience writing press releases, music reviews, and social media copy
  • Past experience with any of the following; Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and/or Premiere, SalesForce, Asana
  • Experience with email communications in a professional setting


  • Working with the EDM / Dance team on the research and drafting of press releases and music features
  • Doing background research on artists, labels, venues, and events
  • Compiling data from research into spreadsheets for documentation and review
  • Discovering and researching new artists, gathering data for presentation to the dance team
  • Day-to-day office tasks (running staff errands, light lifting, updating spreadsheets and other administrative work). 

You must be willing to treat every experience as an opportunity to grow. You will learn how to navigate the daily operations of research and development for record labels and music distribution, and you will begin establishing your own network of music industry connections and relationships.

Unpaid internship with reimbursement stipend per full month worked. Course credit is available upon request. Part time interns are ineligible for stipend reimbursement.
